Functions of Chitalmari Upazila Parishad

Details:

All matters relating to Upazila Parishad funds.
Concerning the granting of power to spend out of council funds.
Proposal to levy taxes, rates, tolls and fees.
Annual budget of Upazila Parishad, annual accounts and revised budget.
Audit of expenditure of Upazila Parishad.
Preparation of textbooks and various term development plans.
To implement the programs of various government departments handed over to the council and to supervise and coordinate the work of those departments.
Processing of various agreements for implementation of work by the council.
Formation of various committees and sub-committees.
Review of law and order situation in the upazila.
Review of relief and rehabilitation work in the upazila.
Approval of implementation work plan and estimate by the Upazila Parishad.
Review, monitor and evaluate the progress of all types of development work implemented.
Review the implementation of all decisions taken by the council.
Other matters of public interest.
Citizen Services: Upazila Parishad is basically the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer and other offices such as Upazila Education Office, Upazila Agriculture Office, Local Government Engineering Department, Upazila Social Services Department, Upazila Cooperative Department, Upazila Youth Development Office, Upazila Rural Development Office, Upazila Project Implementation Office, Upazila Fisheries. Offices, Upazila Women's Affairs Department etc. provide almost all types of civic services through offices.
